Gail Lee Moran Watson

WATSON GERMANTON Gail Lee Moran Watson, 86, of Germanton went home to be with her Lord on Friday April 28, 2023 at Trellis Supportive Care in Winston Salem. In the words of her favorite hymn: “In our end is our beginning, in our life, eternity, in our death a resurrection. At last, a victory!” She fought the good fight, she has finished the race, she kept the faith! Gail was born in Forsyth County, NC on December 18, 1936 to the late Robert Lee and Irma Perrel Moran. She was a woman who loved unconditionally and gave generously. She loved Jesus, her family, rocking on the porch at the beach house, anything that was the color red, Sunday lunch after church, shopping, laughing with her sisters, having her nails painted, holding babies and giving gifts. Gail loved watching all her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids grow up. She was a woman of many occupations, retiring from RJR with over 30 years of service, lifelong church member, a faithful wife of 51 years, a loving mother, and loyal friend to many. Gail loved being “Nana.” She treasured every family get together, ball game, race, church play, every Christmas morning, graduation, birthday party and wedding. Gail was quick to listen and slow to speak, humble, loyal and kind. She was full of the fruit of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gray Watson; daughter, Dee Ann Yontz, and grandson, Donald Tilley. Gail is survived by her son, Mickey Watson and his fiancé Sandy Nowlin; sisters, Kay Fulp and Brenda Carter; grandchildren, Brandon and Heather, Justin and Victoria, Chad, Amy and Jason, Jamie and Crystal, Alex and Megan, Chris and Courtney, Tyler and Jessica; many great grandchildren, Taylor, Chad, Haleigh, Mackenzie, Justin, Payton, Ava, Hayden, Cali, Dustin, Haylee, Donald, Maddie, Carson, Maddox, Carter, Hadley, Lennox, Anderson, Beckham and Luna. There will be an 11:00am graveside service held on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at St. Mark United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Hagan McClellan officiating.
