Anne Marie Priddy Moorefield

September 16, 1928 - March 7, 2022

MOOREFIELD WALNUT COVE Anne Marie Priddy Moorefield, went home to be with her Lord early Monday morning, March 7, 2022 at Oak Forest Health and Rehab. Anne was born on September 16, 1928 in Henry County, VA to the late James and Clara Wade Priddy. She worked as a Christian soldier for Jesus Christ and was always asking others if they knew her Jesus. Anne was a member at First Christian Church and loved her church family. She was also a Sunday School teacher and loved reading her Bible, as well as doing good works for her Lord. Anne loved to play the piano. She was very crafty, having enjoyed oil painting, gardening, upholstery, making floral arrangements, and was also a seamstress. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Edwin Moorefield, Sr.; 2 sons, Sam Moorefield and Charles Edwin Moorefield, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Margaret P. George and Barbara P. Brincefield. She is survived by her loving daughters, Myra Watts, Phyllis Young, and Janice Gochenour; 5 grandchildren, Neil Young, Karen Spencer, Carrie Tuttle, Erin Marion, and Kristy Moorefield; 7 great grandchildren, Ellen Spencer, Katherine Spencer, Lily Spencer, Jay Spencer, Wesley Tuttle, Nikos Marion, and Athena Marion; and 2 sisters, Betty P. Bowmar and Linda P. Wheeler. There will be an 2:00 pm funeral service held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Wayne Marion officiating. Burial will follow at First Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Burroughs Funeral Home.
