FULTZ WALNUT COVE Charles Odell Fultz, 86, passed away Monday evening, May 9, 2022, at his home. Charles was born on August 3, 1935, in Patrick County, VA to the late William Pearson and Kittlue Duncan Fultz. He was a member at Sycamore Baptist Church. He loved being outdoors, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Lee Mabe Fultz; 3 step daughters, Wanda Williams Anita Fultz, and Cathy Neal; 4 brothers, Edgar Fultz, Bobby Fultz, Carlos Fultz, and Frank Fultz; 2 sisters, Betty Lou Hanes and Lottie Ruth Fultz. Charles is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa Cummings (Keith); granddaughter, Jessica Cummings; 8 step children, Larry Throckmorton, Randy Throckmorton (Patricia), Tommy Throckmorton, Roscoe Throckmorton (Debbie), Glenda Fogerty, Jean Rhineheart (Rick), Ralph Throckmorton (Julie), and Janie Stewart; 5 sisters, Joyce Brown, Carol Inman, Sue Brame, Ann Borton, and Wanda Easter; 4 brothers, Billy Ray Fultz, Arlis Fultz, Roger Fultz, and Henry Dean Fultz; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a 1:00 pm funeral service held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Roscoe Bowden officiating. Burial will follow at Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery.
