ALLEN WALKERTOWN Hazel Jean Kiser Allen, 84, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday afternoon, May 4, 2022, at her home in Walkertown, under the care of Hospice. Hazel was born on October 13, 1937, in Stokes County to the late William Harvey and Pearlie Mae Cardwell Kiser. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Hazel was a former after school program director of 15 years at Morris Chapel. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved reading, canning, and cooking. Hazel was also an avid Duke fan. She loved her family and devoted her life to them. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Bryant Allen. She is survived by her 3 children, Deborah Allen Edwards (Chad), Bryant Keith Allen, and Gina Allen Wiles (Steven); 9 grandchildren, Cory, Tyler, Caleb, Mandy, Caston, Casey, Courtney, Mitchell, and Matthew; 7 great grandchildren, Brayden, Crimsyn, Bryson, Gaby, Hazel, Oakley, and Julia; and 2 brothers, Leonard Kiser and Leon Kiser. There will be a 1:00 pm funeral service held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Chris Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Burroughs Funeral Home.
