JEFFRIES PINNACLE Reverend Homer Addis Jeffries, Jr., 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday evening, February 12, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Homer was born on January 27, 1943, in Baltimore, MD to the late Homer Addis Sr. and Marion Louise Taylor Jeffries. He was faithful member of White Road Baptist Church. He was the former pastor at Sunlight Baptist Church for 11 years and preached on the King radio station for many years, having started his own podcast for many years. Homer was retired from Nome’s Interior Design and The Atlanta Police Department. He was a member of the Corvette club, and especially loved 55 Chevrolet’s. He played the guitar and piano and loved West Virginia college sports. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, David Jeffries, and Homer Utterback, and granddaughter Emily Jeffries. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Julia Lancaster Jeffries, five children, Linda Dickson, Rachel Jackson (Randy), Jason Jeffries (Kelly), Joshua Jeffries (Carmen), Brian Barbour (Lisa), twelve grandchildren, Daniel Jeffries, Lucas Barbour, Ezra Barbour, Jupiter Barbour, Mackenzie Jeffries, James McNally, Elizabeth Hollis, David McNally, Stephanie Dickson, Christina Dickson, Rebecca Dickson, and Nathaniel Dickson, five great grandchildren, and one brother, William Jeffries (Margaret). There will be a 2:00 pm memorial service held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at White Road Baptist Church, Belews Creek with Pastor R.J. McBride, Mr. Jason Jeffries, and Mr. Bo Coleman officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
