NEAL WALNUT COVE Marilyn Ann East Neal, 60, passed away Friday morning June 3, 2022 at the Stokes County Nursing Home in Danbury, NC. Marilyn was born in Stokes County, NC on July 19, 1961 to Sam Vance and Betty Ann Overby East. She was retired from Thomasville Furniture and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. Marilyn loved to go shopping, and listening to all kinds of music. She loved her family dearly, and was always willing to help others. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Ann Overby East. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Alvin “Fred” Neal; father, Sam Vance East;;children, Vickie Ann Smith (Ricky Shane Bailey) ,and Freddie Gray Neal (April Michelle Ransom); grandson, Dustin Gray Neal, and step grandson, Kyler Shane Bailey. There will be a 11:00 am funeral service held on Monday June 6, 2022 at the Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Clayton Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Green Pastures Baptist Church Cemetery.
