McGILL GERMANTON Michael Joseph McGill, 73, passed away Monday afternoon, January 24, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center. Michael was born on May 11, 1948 in Forsyth County to the late Patrick and Virginia Perrell Fulp McGill. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church ,was retired from Bell South with 29 years of service and served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Michael enjoyed fishing, gardening, and tinkering with his tractor. He also enjoyed coaching ice hockey and little league. He was a mentor and father to all he coached. He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pattie Doby McGill; 3 children, Lucas McGill (Shelly), Brooke McGill Whitaker (Tony), and Sara McGill Hushbeck (Robert); 5 grandchildren, Tara Whitaker, Lela McGill, Quinlan Hushbeck, Maverick McGill, and Mackenzie McGill; brother, Jim McGill (Judy); and several nieces and nephews.
