BEVILL PFAFFTOWN Norman Ray Bevill, 80, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday morning, April 10, 2021 at his home. Norman was born on April 24, 1940 in McDowell County, WV to the late Richard E. and Irene Waldron Bevill. He attended King Christian Center and Victory Ministries for Jesus. Norman was a hard worker that farmed and did numerous tasks including cutting trees, hooking up water lines, building churches. He was a special and unique man that gave many young men their first job and was known for being generous and helping others. Norman retired from Southeast Environmental Construction. As much as he enjoyed working and farming, his family was the most important thing to him and he loved them very much. Norman served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Norman is preceded in death by his brother, Harlow Bevill and sister, Virginia Stinson. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Bowman Bevill; sons, Kevin Bevill (Nicole), Josh Bevill, and Josh Bible; grandchildren, Montana, Liam, Paisley, and Caleb Bevill; brothers, Ed Bevill (Delores) and Hubert Bevill; sisters, Delores “Dee” Phillips and Barbara Childress (Bill Moore); and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a 6:30 pm funeral service held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at King Christian Center, 995 Brown Rd, King, NC 27021 with Pastor Randall Smith, Pastor Mike Martin, and Pastor Clayton Smith officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 3250 High Point Rd,Winston Salem, NC 27107 The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington D.C. 20090. Social distancing guidelines will be observed and facial coverings are required.
