Otis Darling Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

DARLING WALNUT COVE Otis Darling, 69, passed away early Monday morning, June 20, 2022, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Otis was born on November 12, 1952, in Onslow County to the late William Everette and Leona Phipps Darling. He enjoyed working on his lawn mowers and was a former member of the Walnut Cove Lion’s Club. Otis loved his family more than anything. In addition to his parents, Otis was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Eugene Darling; 2 sisters, Delilah Woolbright and Shirley Ann Berger; 2 brothers, Robert Lee Darling and William Everette Darling, Jr.; and the mother of his children, Norma Jean Miller. He is survived by his 2 sons, Robert Lee Baker and Otis Dwayne Darling; brother, Leroy Darling; sister, Bonnie Darling; 5 sister in laws, Kitty Vernon, Betty Hicks, Alice Guthrie, Kathy Welch, and Mary Collins; special nephew, Joey Baker; special friends, Mike Smith and Dwayne Parnell; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a 2:00 pm memorial service held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Roscoe Bowden officiating.
